CASC members gathered at Quail Corners Shopping Center to support The Wide Open Charitable Foundation. The Wide Open Charitable Foundation’s mission is to raise funds for the research of childhood cancers while offering support and hope to families with children battling cancer. The foundation works with the UNC Children’s Hospital.
In the US, 1 in 285 children will be diagnosed with cancer. Cancer is the number one cause of death by disease in children. The average age of a child diagnosed with cancer is 6.
